On 10th November 1972 Genesis had played in the legendary Marquee Club
in London. On 27th September 1982, nearly 10 years later, the end of September
saw Genesis perform some memorable shows in the UK.
Genesis used the alias “The Garden Wall” which was one of the original names
for the band. Fans caught on quickly, and the small 500 person venue's tickets were
all sold. During these final shows, Genesis also played a trio of gigs at
Hammersmith Odeon and during the afternoon of each gig, took time to rehearse
with Peter Gabriel for the forthcoming Six Of The Best reunion show at
Milton Keynes Concert Bowl on Saturday 2nd October.
